Meals for AllTM Preparation Instructions

Meals for AllTM provides complete, easily prepared meals. Just add water. These real-foods can be re-hydrated using boiling water for a delicious hot meal or with cold water when gas or electricity is unavailable to boil water.

Trained dietary department staff may not be available to prepare meals during emergencies. Meals for AllTMcan be prepared by any staff or untrained volunteers allowing uninterrupted meal service. No knowledge of cooking, preparation or diets is needed to safely serve vulnerable populations.

Below are instructions for both hot and cold preparation of entrees:

1. Open can and discard oxygen absorber* packet. 1. Open can and discard oxygen absorber* packet.
2. Boil 12 cups water. 2. Stir dry contents of one can into 12 cups of water.
3. Stir dry contents of one can into boiling water. 3. Cover and let stand 1-2 hours to re-hydrate.
4. Cover and remove from heat. 4. Stir and serve 1 and 1/3 cups (2 x No. 6 scoop) or as directed.
5. Allow to stand 15 minutes.

Food Safety Note:
Food should be consumed within 1-2 hours of preparation unless maintained at 140F or higher.
